2020 Class B Subdistrict B-5 Softball Tournament


Dates:                       Monday & Tuesday, October 5 & 6, 2020. 

Location:               Norris High School Softball Field.

Bracket:           B-5 Subdistrict Bracket.


Session 1 – Monday, October 5:  

Game #1:  12:00 p.m. – #1 Norris vs. #4 Waverly

Game #2:  1:45 p.m.. – #2 Wahoo vs. #3 Beatrice

Game #3:  3:30 p.m. – Game #1 Losing Team vs. Game #2 Losing Team 

Game #4:  5:15 p.m. – Game #1 Winning Team vs. Game #2 Winning Team 


Session 2 – Tuesday, October 6:

Game #5:  2:00 p.m. – Game #3 Winning Team vs. Game #4 Losing Team

Game #6:  3:45 p.m. – Game #4 Winning Team vs. Game #5 Winning Team

Game #7 – 5:30 p.m.(if necessary).  


*30 minute break in between each game (to include warm-ups).   


Admission:         Adults, per session – $5.  Students, per session – $4.  Passes are not Accepted.  


Parking: The Norris School District #160 will be in session on Monday and Tuesday.  Parking will be 

limited and we apologize for the inconvenience.  Please park your school vehicles in the parking lot North of Titan Stadium.   


Tournament Rules As per the 2020 NSAA Softball Manual:  7 innings, no time limit, national tie breaker begins in 8th 

inning and the 8, 10 and 12 run rules apply.  NSAA 2020 Softball Manual & National 

Federation Rules shall govern play along with the 2020 Softball COVID-19 Rules Modifications and Considerations


Field Dimensions: A portable fence will be installed at 200’ to mirror the field dimensions at the Bill Smith

Softball Complex site of the 2019 State Softball Championships in Hastings, Nebraska.


Home Team:   The home team will be the higher seed in first round games.  The home team for the remaining 

games will be determined by a coin flip.  The official scorebook will be kept by the designated home team’s bench and a scoreboard operator will be supplied by Norris High School.  Norris will occupy the 3rd Base Dugout when they are playing.  Note:  There shall be no coin flip for the “If Necessary” game.  The home team and visiting team will switch from the previous championship game.     


Bleachers: Tape indicating rows of bleachers that are NOT AVAILABLE will be clearly

marked.  This is to comply with social distancing guidelines developed by our health officials.  



Broadcasting: Norris School District Video Production and Broadcasting plans to livestream the games.

Restrooms: Located at the Northeast corner of Titan Stadium.  Dressing facilities are not available.   

Concessions:  Available on site and operated by student groups from Norris High School.
